Let’s learn more about her background, journey and her advice for our community!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Prajakta:

You’ve successfully balanced acting and wellness. What inspired you to walk this dual path?

Acting and wellness entered my life at different phases, yet today they feel deeply interconnected. Acting is about expression, while yoga is about awareness. One helps me understand the world; the other helps me understand myself. I never consciously planned this path—it unfolded organically over time, shaping who I am today.

What was the turning point that led you to become a certified yoga trainer?

Yoga began as a deeply personal practice. Gradually, I realized it wasn’t just transforming my body, but also bringing clarity to my mind and emotional balance. That internal shift inspired me to study it more deeply and share it with others in a meaningful, structured way.

How has yoga influenced your mindset and performance as an actor?

Yoga has anchored me in the present moment—and for an actor, that changes everything. It sharpens my ability to listen, to feel, and to respond with authenticity. It also helps me stay calm and centered in an unpredictable profession, enhancing both my emotional depth and creative expression.

What inspired you to start The Yoga Way, and what makes it different from other wellness platforms?

The Yoga Way was born from a simple intention—to make wellness feel real and accessible. It’s not about perfection or chasing trends. It’s about building a genuine, sustainable relationship with your body and mind, in a way that fits naturally into everyday life.

In a high-pressure industry like entertainment, how do you stay mentally and emotionally grounded?

I always return to the basics—breath, routine, mindful movement, and moments of stillness. Over time, I’ve also learned that not everything requires a reaction. Groundedness isn’t about intensity; it’s about consistency and coming back to yourself, again and again.

What kind of roles or projects excite you most at this stage of your career?

I’m drawn to roles that feel authentic and layered—characters that evolve, not just exist. Stories that linger with the audience long after they’ve ended are the ones that truly excite me.

You’ve also worked in production. How did that experience change your perspective on filmmaking?

As an actor, you often experience the comfort of being in front of the camera, focused solely on your role. Production, however, is an entirely different reality.

From managing on-ground logistics to coordinating with everyone—from spot boys to seasoned actors like Paresh Rawal—you witness the immense effort behind every frame. It deepened my respect for the craft and the discipline required to bring a story to life.

What does “success” mean to you today compared to when you first started your journey?

Earlier, success felt external—linked to recognition and milestones. Today, it feels internal. It’s about growth, peace, and doing work that feels honest and aligned. That shift has made the journey lighter and far more fulfilling.

Your love for horses is unique. What role does that passion play in your life?
Horses teach you presence in its purest form. They respond to your energy, not your words. Being around them grounds me instantly and reminds me to stay aware, calm, and connected.

What advice would you give to young women trying to balance passion, career, and well-being?

Don’t rush the process. Build steadily and stay consistent. Take care of your mind and body along the way. You don’t have to choose one over the other—you just have to learn how to hold them together with patience and intention.
