Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Aarti:

You’ve built a remarkable journey as a cosmetologist, entrepreneur, and business leader. What inspired you to enter this field, and how did it all begin?

My journey began with a deep passion for helping people feel confident about themselves. I have always been fascinated by the connection between appearance, self-esteem, and emotional well-being.

As a cosmetologist, I realised that aesthetic medicine is not just about enhancing looks; it is about transforming confidence and improving quality of life.

What started as a passion gradually evolved into a mission, leading me to build premium clinics and brands dedicated to beauty, wellness, and patient care. Over the years, this purpose has remained at the heart of everything I do.

 

As the CEO of premium clinics and Managing Director of multiple brands, what have been the biggest challenges in building trust and credibility in the beauty and wellness industry?

One of the biggest challenges has been educating people and helping them distinguish between trends and evidence-based treatments. In an industry filled with marketing claims and quick fixes, building trust requires consistency, transparency, ethical practices, and genuine patient care.

I have always believed that credibility is earned over time through results, honesty, and putting the patient’s well-being above everything else. When people know that you genuinely care about their interests, trust naturally follows.

 

In an era of filters and social media beauty standards, how do you define real beauty and self-confidence?

Real beauty is authenticity. It is about feeling comfortable in your own skin and embracing your individuality rather than trying to fit into unrealistic standards.

Self-confidence comes from self-acceptance, self-care, and understanding that beauty is not perfection. My goal as a cosmetologist is to enhance a person’s natural features while preserving what makes them unique. The most beautiful version of anyone is their authentic self.

 

What are the most common skincare mistakes people make, and what simple habits can genuinely transform skin health?

Some of the most common mistakes include skipping sunscreen, overusing skincare products, following social media trends without professional guidance, and neglecting lifestyle factors such as sleep, hydration, and nutrition.

The most transformative habits are surprisingly simple: wearing sunscreen daily, maintaining a consistent skincare routine, staying hydrated, eating a balanced diet, getting adequate sleep, and seeking professional advice when needed. Healthy skin is often the result of consistency rather than complexity.

You balance medicine, aesthetics, business, and creativity. What keeps you motivated and focused across so many roles?

What motivates me is the impact I can create through each role. Whether it is treating a patient, building a business, developing a brand, or creating awareness about skin health, everything ultimately comes back to helping people.

I genuinely enjoy learning, growing, and taking on new challenges. Seeing positive changes in people’s lives keeps me focused, energised, and inspired every day.

What is your vision for Skinford Cosmetics and Ayurveda & Herbal in the evolving beauty and wellness space?

My vision is to create brands that combine science, innovation, and authenticity. Consumers today are becoming more informed and conscious about what they use on their skin.

Through Skinford Cosmetics and Ayurveda & Herbal, I want to offer solutions that are effective, trustworthy, and rooted in both modern science and holistic wellness principles. The goal is to empower people to make better choices for their skin and overall well-being.

 

As someone deeply involved in cosmetology and face sculpting, what upcoming trends in skincare and aesthetics excite you the most?

I am particularly excited about regenerative aesthetics, personalised skincare, and treatments that focus on natural-looking results.

Technologies that stimulate the body’s own healing and collagen production are transforming the industry. The future is moving toward prevention, skin-quality improvement, and subtle enhancements rather than dramatic changes, and I believe that is a very positive direction for both practitioners and patients.

 

Was there ever a difficult phase in your journey where you doubted yourself? How did you overcome it?

Like every entrepreneur, I have experienced phases of uncertainty where I questioned whether I was on the right path. Building a business in the beauty and wellness industry comes with constant challenges, evolving trends, and high expectations.

During those moments, what helped me most was having a strong support system. My brother has been one of the biggest pillars of strength in my journey.

As one of India’s leading dermatologists, he has always guided, encouraged, and supported me whenever I faced difficulties or felt discouraged. His knowledge, experience, and belief in me gave me the confidence to keep moving forward.

Along with that, I learned to trust the process, remain consistent, and focus on the positive impact I was creating in people’s lives. Looking back, every challenge became an opportunity for growth.

 

What advice would you give to women who aspire to build successful careers while managing multiple responsibilities?

My advice would be to believe in yourself and not wait for the perfect moment to begin. Women often underestimate their own capabilities while balancing numerous responsibilities.

Success does not come from doing everything perfectly; it comes from consistency, resilience, and the willingness to keep learning.

Build a strong support system, stay focused on your goals, and never be afraid to take up space or dream bigger. Your potential is far greater than you think.

 

You’ve achieved success across different fields. What kind of legacy do you ultimately want to create?

More than being remembered for a clinic, a brand, or any business achievement, I want to be remembered for the lives I have touched and the difference I have made in people’s lives.

My late father always taught me that kindness is one of the greatest gifts you can give to others. He strongly believed that whenever you help someone selflessly, that goodness finds its way back to you. Those values have shaped the way I live and work every day.

I want my legacy to be built on compassion, integrity, and service. If people remember me as someone who genuinely cared, empowered others, and made them feel better about themselves both inside and out, that would be the greatest success I could ever achieve.
