As part of this endeavour, we invited Juby Susan Mathew for an exclusive interview with us. Juby Susan is a Mentor, Author, Entrepreneur and Founder & CEO of Auslen Holidays. Let’s learn more about her background, journey and her advice for our community!
Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Juby:
Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?
In my family, I am the first entrepreneur. A young woman with aspirations to succeed in the medical sector. The career in tourism was not chosen. I was chosen by the tourism industry, not the other way around.
How did you discover your passion?
“I’ve always carried a fire within — a deep, unrelenting desire to do something extraordinary. To carve out my own identity, not by following the crowd, but by standing tall in my own uniqueness.”
I didn’t want to be in the same rat race. The urge to do business happened in a fraction of a second when I was reading a book written by Shiv Khera, “You Can Win”.
Who do you believe has been the biggest source of motivation in your daily life?
Daily dose of Motivation comes from different people I would say. My mother is very good at multitasking. My father, who was very good in decision making.
My husband, the one who is pro in Money Management. My father in Law, who is 82 years old but still follows a disciplined life. My mother-in-law, who is very hospitable and straight forward. My 18 months old daughter who always wears a smile no matter what.
What are some of the strategies that you believe have helped you grow as a person?
1) Discipline
2) Consistency
3) Resilience
4) Being Ethical.
In your opinion, what are the keys to success?
Resilience and a positive attitude are core to an entrepreneur’s success, especially when facing challenges like those brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ability to bounce back from setbacks, adapt to changes, and maintain a forward-thinking mindset can make all the difference.
During tough times, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the uncertainty, but the key is staying grounded and focused on long-term goals.
What advice would you give to our readers?
Dream Big, be honest, making money should not be the ultimate goal in life. The identity you build is what matters the most. Be Kind to whoever you meet.
Never spoil the relationship with others, we may not know who will be of our help in future.
