Saumya Singh

At BrilliantRead Media, we always strive to bring meaningful and powerful stories from India and around the world to empower and motivate our growing community. As part of this endeavour, we invited Saumya Singh for an exclusive interview with us. Saumya is an Entrepreneur and the Founder & CEO of GenzoAlpha Consulting Group. Let’s learn more about her background, journey and her advice for our community!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Saumya:

Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?

My journey is anything but traditional — and that’s what makes it powerful. I’m a proud mom of two toddlers (aged 2.5 years and 1.3 years), and the Founder & CEO of GenzoAlpha Consulting Group, a staffing agency that I built from scratch during the most intense phase of motherhood. I started GenzoAlpha when my first baby was just a few months old, juggling feeds, nap schedules, and client calls.

In just 1.5 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with major clients across industries like Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, IT services— all while being a full-time, hands-on mom. I didn’t put my dreams on pause for motherhood — I evolved with it. And that’s the essence of my journey: redefining what it means to be both an ambitious woman and a present mother.

GenzoAlpha Consulting Group

‘GenzoAlpha Consulting Group’ is such a unique name; talk us through more about it. Our audience would also love to know what kind of problem you are solving.

The name GenzoAlpha holds deep meaning. “Genzo” signifies generational growth, and “Alpha” reflects leadership, excellence, and clarity of purpose. Together, the name captures our mission — to help organisations grow through the power of people and purpose-driven hiring.

At GenzoAlpha, we specialise in strategic recruitment and talent consulting for growing startups and mid-sized companies. We help businesses attract, hire, and retain top talent that aligns with both their short-term goals and long-term vision.

From CXO-level hires to building lean but high-performing teams, we offer personalised hiring solutions that go beyond filling positions — we focus on finding the right people who will truly move the needle.

What sets us apart is our consultative approach. We don’t just send resumes — we understand business challenges, evaluate team dynamics, and act as an extension of your leadership team. Whether it’s building your first core team, scaling after funding, or refining your hiring strategy, we bring both speed and insight to the table.

I created GenzoAlpha for women like me — moms who want to lead, build, and break stereotypes. I wanted to prove that you can nurture a family and a business at the same time — and thrive in both.

Despite the challenges, what keeps you going when things get tough?

What keeps me going is knowing that I’m building something not just for myself — but for my children and for every woman watching silently from the sidelines, wondering if she can do the same.

There are days that are overwhelming — messy, chaotic, exhausting — but I remind myself why I started. I want to normalize ambition in motherhood. I want my kids to grow up seeing their mother leading with love, purpose, and passion.

Also, every message I receive from a fellow mom saying, “Your journey gives me hope,” is fuel for my fire.

What are the three most important lessons you have learned in your life?

1) You don’t have to choose between being a great mom and a great leader. You can be both — fully, fiercely, unapologetically.

2) Support systems are everything. My husband has been my anchor, and my children — my biggest motivators.

3) Start before you’re ready. I didn’t wait for the “perfect” moment to start GenzoAlpha — I created the moment I had.

In your opinion, what are the keys to success?

To me, success isn’t a single destination — it’s built through small, consistent actions, especially on the hard days.

Here are my personal keys:

(a) Self-belief: I had to believe in myself before anyone else did.

(b) Discipline over motivation: Especially with toddlers in the background!

(c) Execution with purpose: Don’t just plan—do.

(d) Adaptability: Be willing to reinvent, pivot, and grow in business and in life.

(e) Heart: Never lose the “why” behind your work.

What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?

Don’t wait for permission — or perfection — to get started. And don’t let social media fool you into thinking success is instant.

Build a strong foundation: understand your core strengths, learn continuously, and be willing to do the hard things. Whether you’re switching careers, starting from scratch, or navigating self-doubt, your journey is valid. Success should match your version of joy, not someone else’s definition of achievement.

And especially for women: don’t be afraid to own your ambition. Your life can change — with marriage, motherhood, or moving cities — but your potential stays constant.

Last but not least, what about your journey makes it satisfying/exciting?

The most exciting part is knowing that I’m redefining what’s possible for working moms. That I can run a business, raise babies, and still deliver client impact. When I started GenzoAlpha, people thought I’d pause or quit once I had my second baby. But instead, I scaled.

It’s deeply satisfying when women say, “Because of you, I’ve started again.” That’s what success looks like to me — not just revenue or awards, but ripple effects. If even one woman feels seen or empowered through my story, I know I’m on the right path.
