Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Suruchi:
Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?
I am the founder of Ranggat, a premium Indian art brand that celebrates creativity, mindfulness, and the rich cultural heritage of India.
I was born and brought up in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, and completed my B.Tech in Computer Science. I worked for 4 years in the IT industry as a SAP BI Consultant, but art has always been my first love, a passion I have nurtured since childhood.
In 2019, I officially started Ranggat as a brand, blending my love for traditional Indian art forms with modern aesthetics. After moving to Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, I embraced this journey fully—teaching art and creating handmade artworks that speak from the heart.
Since then, Ranggat has grown beautifully, with over 500 artworks sold to clients across the globe. In 2023, I proudly set a world record for creating the largest dot mandala art on canvas (13 metres x 1 metre) in the shortest time span on a canvas roll.
In 2025, I also became a published author with my debut book, “The King of Magnetic Dreams”—a story about vision, resilience, and the power of imagination. Today, Ranggat is more than just a brand and it is my way of spreading joy, healing, and Indian cultural beauty through both art and teaching.
‘Ranggat-An Art From Soul’ is such a unique name; talk us through more about it, please. Our audience would also love to know what kind of problem you are solving?
‘Ranggat – An Art From Soul’ is a name very close to my heart. The word Ranggat is inspired by the word “Rang”, which means colour in Hindi. India is a land of colours—whether it’s festivals, traditions, or emotions—and I wanted a name that reflects that richness of India.
I added a personal touch to make it unique, and that’s how Ranggat was born. The tagline ‘An Art From Soul’ shows that every artwork is made with deep love, intention, and emotion, not just as a product, but as a soulful experience.
Through Ranggat, I aim to solve two main problems:
1. Bringing handmade art back into homes – In today’s digital and fast world, people often miss that personal, handmade touch. Ranggat offers soulful art that brings peace, beauty, and mindfulness into your space.
2. Creating space for art learning and mental wellness – Many people, especially students and working adults, feel stressed or disconnected. Through my art workshops and courses, I help them reconnect with themselves, improve focus, reduce anxiety, and experience joy through creativity.
Despite the challenges, what keeps you going when things get tough?
What keeps me going during tough times is my deep love for art and the purpose behind Ranggat. I truly believe that art has the power to heal, connect, and transform lives—not just mine, but also those who experience it through my work.
There have been challenges, like self-doubt, slow growth, or managing everything on my own. But whenever I see someone smile after receiving a painting, or when a student tells me that my workshop helped them feel calmer or more confident, that gives me strength and reminds me why I started.
Also, my belief in the beauty of handmade art and the dream to spread Indian creativity across the world keep me going. Even on difficult days, I remind myself that every small step counts, and this journey is worth it.
What are the three most important lessons you have learned in your life?
Here are the three most important lessons I have learned in my life:
1. Follow your passion, even if the path is not clear at first – I never imagined that my love for art would one day become my full-time work. But choosing what makes your heart happy leads you to the right place, even if it takes time.
2. Patience and consistency are more powerful than speed – Success doesn’t happen overnight. Whether it’s building Ranggat or improving as an artist, I have learned that showing up every day with dedication is what really makes the difference.
3. Believe in yourself, even when others don’t. There were times when I doubted myself or felt unsure about turning art into a career. But trusting my journey and believing in my work helped me move forward and grow stronger with every step.
These lessons have shaped both my personal and professional life, and I carry them with me every day.
In your opinion, what are the keys to success?
In my opinion, the keys to success are:
1. Have a clear purpose – Know why you are doing what you do. Purpose gives direction and meaning to your work.
2. Follow your passion – When you truly enjoy what you do, it becomes easier to stay motivated and give your best.
3. Work hard and stay consistent – Success takes time. Small efforts every day build big results over time.
4. Keep learning and improving – Be open to new ideas, feedback, and skills. Growth happens when you’re willing to learn.
5. Believe in yourself – Confidence in your vision and abilities gives you strength, especially during tough times.
6. Stay patient and trust the process – Good things take time. Stay focused and don’t rush the journey.
7. Be kind and value relationships – Success is not just about reaching goals, but also about how you treat people along the way.
What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?
My advice to students and young professionals is:
1. Discover what you truly enjoy doing.
2. Start small and stay consistent.
3. Be open to new opportunities and change.
4. Keep learning and improving your skills.
5. Build meaningful connections and learn from others.
6. Trust yourself, even during tough times.
7. Focus on your journey, not on comparisons.
Success comes when you love what you do and grow with it.
Last but not least, what about your journey makes it satisfying/exciting?
What makes my journey truly satisfying is seeing how something that started as a childhood passion has turned into a brand that touches lives.
Every artwork I create, every student I teach, and every message I receive from a happy client remind me that I am doing something meaningful.
It is really exciting to know that through Ranggat, I am not just creating art, I am spreading joy, mindfulness, and a little piece of Indian culture around the world. That feeling keeps the journey beautiful and fulfilling every single day.
