Excerpts from our exclusive interview with him:

Talk us through your background and your journey as an entrepreneur, please;

I started my business when I was in law college from my hostel room with a laptop and internet as a freelancer. I had a concrete belief that a business which starts from nothing always last because of passion, commitment and strategies.

As an entrepreneur I learned a lot throughout my journey made numerous mistakes and faced consequences boldly.”

The utmost knowledge I derive through my adventurous journey of entrepreneurship that constant innovation is required all the time because markets are changing at exponential rate than last decade.

Why did you choose entrepreneurship over a job?

There are lot of reasons but the one reason I can think strongly is because of financial freedom.

How do you find the industry that you’re in?

The legal industry is a highly competitive and complex market or industry. There are limited innovations in our sector but there are huge opportunities to explore with great reward.

What gets you out of bed in the morning i.e. what’s your source of motivation?

Solving a complex problem by challenging myself is my biggest source of motivation. There are days I don’t sleep at all comfortably till I find a way or a solution to a problem. My clients don’t come to me to resolve their civil or criminal disputes, divorce matters or set up a company. They come to me to resolve complex inter-jurisdictional transactions with high expectations. My unconventional methods within an existing frame of legal codes and laws are quite popular around the world.

What challenges/obstacles did you face in your journey so far?

There have been numerous hurdles in the beginning. For example, long time back I met a venture capitalist to raise money, he felt I was not doing anything innovative as my business model was already in the market with big players and with deep pockets. I respected his decision and his views. After that, I never approached any VC, angel, or investment firm and in the later phase of my journey I was approached by few top capital and VC firms but I declined their offers respectfully as I was turning more than million dollars a year and I was quite comfortable.

What comes first for you – money or emotions?

In business practicality is the key instrument to move money from someone’s pocket to mine. Hence where the concept of money is involved there is no question of emotions.

How do you handle the pressure and manage stress?

When I am under pressure I become more focused till the job is complete. I don’t generally take stress but some days I think a lot to get release from those thoughts I drive around in one of my sports cars at 2 am.

What is one strategy that you believe has helped you grow as a person/startup?

I will quote something here:

“When you are weak show them how strong you are when you are strong show them how weak you are”- Art of War.

In your opinion what are the keys to success?

In my opinion, there is no specific definition of success. Life is too limited so enjoy your lives to the fullest. But if you have seen a dream then work hard, make mistakes, never quit till you turn your dreams into realities.

What advice would you give to someone starting out as an aspiring entrepreneur?

Quitters or losers will laugh at you or talk negatively about your actions. Successful individuals will try to find an opportunity with you. Real people will love you and support you unconditionally.
