Amit Garg Co-Founder And CEO At Pheuture Studio Pvt Ltd

At BR Media, our aim is to bring to our community some of the unique and compelling stories from the startup ecosystem. As part of this endeavour, we invited yet another promising young entrepreneur – Amit Garg, for an interview with us. He is the Co-founder and CEO at Pheuture Studio Pvt Ltd. Let’s read more about his exciting journey, his advice for aspiring entrepreneurs and the way forward!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Amit:

Before we begin, what’s this name Pheuture all about?

Pheuture Studio got its name by combining ‘Phe’ and ‘Future’. With Pheuture, we try to be the Future of ‘Phe’ where ‘Ph’ refers to the phone i.e Telecom and ‘e’ refers to the Internet.

Why did you choose entrepreneurship over a job?

In my case, probably I didn’t choose to become an entrepreneur; entrepreneurship chose me instead! I was on jobs for almost 7 years before I started this business and have been fortunate enough to work on profiles which required me to work 360 degrees. This gave me a lot of exposure to understand the nitty-gritty of business and a lot of confidence to take up entrepreneurship.

What keeps you motivated i.e. what’s your source of motivation?

FAITH! Faith tells me to keep going, that this will all work out, that the stress and sleepless nights will all pay off one day.

How do you handle the pressure and manage stress?

Initially, I used to get stressed very quickly but I would say, not any longer. Stressing over things which I know I can’t control, I don’t waste time over it. But if there is something crucial comes up, I try to give myself a little time to adjust, formulate a plan to deal with the problem and eliminate the stress it’s causing.

In your opinion what are the keys to success?

It has to be ‘persistence’. As you build your business, there will be a lot of no’s. Very rarely is your journey to success a straight line trending upward. But the key to coming out ahead in spite of all the bumps and bruises is to persist.

What comes first for you – money or emotions?

I am an emotional person. Business needs to have emotions, not personal, obviously, but business ones like concern for quality deliverables, client satisfaction, targets & roadmaps, you planned & how you will achieve it, etc. Money is obviously the priority but I believe if your value creation process is right for others, the money will automatically come as an outcome of it.

What advice would you give to someone starting out?

1 – Invest your maximum time in developing your product or service.

2 – Know one thing for sure that word of mouth is still the most effective marketing tool.

3 – You’ll always compare your present work with your previous one. Avoid it.

4 – The first 2–3 years are usually the most difficult ones. Be patient and don’t lose hope and most importantly don’t lose your temper. Emotional Intelligence would take you far in your journey.
