Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Bhavpreet;

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your journey, please;

My Name is Bhavpreet Singh Soni I am a Lawyer by education, Entrepreneur by profession, Youtuber by hobby. I started my journey 5 years ago.
I am a thriving online blogger and vlogger who has a successful and high-paying career at this point. I also consult various organisation on Intellectual Property rights. Currently, I am helping various Indian Entrepreneurs to build an asset-light model and franchisee model in their business. My life, however, hasn’t always been how it is today. I went on to search for my passion. I even tried out entrepreneurship and started 11 different businesses with 11 different friends of mine. My partners gave up soon after, and I failed in my enterprise every single time. I then took up blogging and learned it all from the internet without taking up any online courses. At this point, I have my website and earning a whopping INR 2.5 lakhs on a monthly basis.

Mr Aman Jain founder of Cognizancebiz Pvt Ltd also approached me to work with him. Now I am providing business consultancy to various businesses. So far I have consulted over 1200 Clients. Now, I am a pro blogger, Trademark attorney and business consultant to various organizations. I have also started a new company Sonisvision.in on 1st Jan 2020. Sonisvision.in is a platform where we will provide services like Trademark, Copyright and business consultancy to young entrepreneurs that are necessary for an entrepreneur in today’s world.

Why did you choose entrepreneurship over a job?

Entrepreneurship gives me the freedom to do whatever I want to do. There is no 9 to 5 Fixed work or a boss to told you what to do. Being an entrepreneur means taking on a challenge and working hard to get through it. “Getting a new career or building a business is never easy, and not everybody will support you in your journey,”

What gets you out of bed in the morning i.e. what’s your source of motivation?

I am filled with inspiration, I often don’t need external motivation to move forward. The feeling of purpose and meaning is enough to propel me. Those without a clear vision, mission, or purpose often require lots of external motivation to keep moving forward.

What challenges/obstacles did you face in your journey so far?

First of all my parents have not supported me. They told me that I have three options lawyer, civil servant or failure and I choose the last one. My family was totally against my decisions.

But I didn’t stop even when I had no money, I kept on moving forward. Soon my friends also started ignoring me because I always asked for loans from my friends for my journey. I failed in 11 different businesses.

What comes first for you – money or emotions?

Emotions and money are two different things. You can’t be emotional with business. Business runs on numbers and logic. Life runs on emotions. I am emotional towards my family, friends and my team.

How do you handle the pressure and manage stress?

Whenever I feel stress I just drink coffee and watch some videos of entrepreneurs or read books. Everybody is stressed out in this competitive world. So we need to find out ways to burn our stress. I always try to be positive in every situation.  Positive thoughts are very important to be successful in life because they motivate you and give you the energy to do your work.

Positive people always receive success, good health, happiness, and good relationships. As Rhonda Byrne, the author of ‘The Secret’ says, “Positive thoughts breed positive results, is the basic rule of law of attraction”.

What is one strategy that you believe has helped you grow as a person?

My attitude has always helped me. If you have a positive attitude then you will always find a way in every situation. So always keep your attitude positive.

In your opinion what are the keys to success?

1 – Hard work + Smart work

2 – Consistency

3 – Positive attitude

4 – Learning new things

What advice would you give to someone starting out?

Work for your dreams while others are wasting their time. All that hard work, late nights and early morning will undoubtedly pay off one day. Let others play Pokémon and chase girls, you chase your dreams and work hard to make your dreams come true. And one the same people will ask you, are you hiring?
