Dr. Aparna Sethi

At BrilliantRead Media, we always strive to bring meaningful and powerful stories from India and around the world to empower and motivate our growing community. As part of this endeavour, we invited Dr. Aparna Sethi for an exclusive interview with us. Dr. Aparna is a POSH & POCSO Trainer and Consultant, Corporate Trainer, Coach and Founder at Protouch. Let’s learn more about her background, journey and her advice for our community!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Dr. Aparna:

Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?

I started my career in corporate training with a simple desire: to help people grow at work and in life. Over the years, I’ve worked with diverse teams, built programmes around behaviour, leadership and emotional intelligence, and eventually started working under the Protouch banner.

The journey has had its ups and downs, but every phase has shaped me into a more grounded and aware professional.

‘Protouch’ is such a unique name; talk us through more about it, please.

‘Protouch’ comes from the idea of professional touch—bringing structure, ethics and excellence to everything we do. It reflects our commitment to adding that extra layer of professionalism and care in how we design programmes, engage with participants, and partner with organisations.

Despite the challenges, what keeps you going when things get tough?

My team keeps me going. I feel answerable to them—their trust, effort and belief in our work push me to show up, stay strong and keep moving forward even on difficult days.

Dr. Aparna Sethi

What are the three most important lessons you have learned in your life?

The three most important lessons for me are:

a) Always remain honest.

b) Stay humble, no matter how much you achieve.

c) Be hungry to grow, because learning can never stop.

In your opinion, what are the keys to success?

For me, the biggest key to success is consistency—showing up, doing the work, and staying committed even when the results are not immediate.

What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?

My advice would be: value your education, both formal and informal. Degrees matter, but so do skills, ethics and attitude. Keep learning, stay curious and don’t compromise on integrity.

Last but not least, what about your journey makes it satisfying or exciting?

What makes my journey truly satisfying is the blessings and gratitude I receive from clients, participants, my team and my family.

Knowing that our work touches lives and careers in a meaningful way is what makes it exciting for me.
