Ganesh Verma

At BrilliantRead Media, it is our constant endeavour to identify and share some of the unique and compelling stories from the startup ecosystem. As part of this, we invited yet another passionate entrepreneur Ganesh Verma for an interview with BrilliantRead Media. Ganesh is a Leader, Entrepreneur, Mentor, Consultant, and IT expert. He is the Founder and CEO of MoogleLabs. Let’s learn more about his background, his inspiring journey so far and his advice for our growing community!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Ganesh:

We are aware of your contribution to the ecosystem, talk us through your background and your journey as an entrepreneur, please;

I did my schooling at DAV Senior Secondary School in Chandigarh. Then, I studied at Panjab University and completed my Master of Computer Science at the renowned Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak.

My school and college life have been nothing short of amazing. I have delivered high performance and gained favourable results through hard work and dedication in every walk of life. I participated in various extra-curricular activities and was always an active member of several groups within the two institutions. Additionally, I was always good at the academic front.

So, once I completed my education, I started working in the corporate world. I worked in a variety of organizations to garner skill sets and accumulate enough wealth to begin my journey of being a creator.”

I wanted to create custom solutions, so I came up with the idea of MoogleLabs. Working as an IT professional, I saw a disconnect in the supply and demand of the latest technologies. Generally, all organizations struggle to incorporate the latest technologies. With Mooglelabs, I aimed to only focus on these emerging and disruptive technologies. It is more challenging, but at the same time, our solutions have a long-term impact.

It is constant diligence, and the thrill of keeping myself and my team updated and working on the latest technologies that make everything I do worth the effort. MoogleLabs is my brain child that I have nurtured, and seeing it grow and expand is nothing short of amazing.

What attracts you towards entrepreneurship instead of a corporate career?

I am a dreamer, and entrepreneurship was one big goal of my life. I come from humble beginnings, which means I did not have the resources to start my company before going the corporate career route. And frankly, it is among the best things that I have done for my career.

Starting my journey as a software engineer and learning new technologies as time progressed has given me first-hand experience in how businesses operate. I did climb up the corporate ladder and, throughout the journey, had the fortune to meet some of the most insightful and amazing people who are my friends today.”

And it is that journey that gave me the confidence and the experience I needed to start my venture. Building something from scratch requires vision, and while several people try, only a few succeed. It takes immense courage and perseverance, along with long-term planning, hard work, and teamwork, to achieve the goals.

The IT industry is responsible for transforming the world as we know it. It is the precursor of change. As all changes in the industry impact other businesses significantly. And I wanted to be among the front runners, paving the way for others to utilize the latest technologies for their benefit.

‘MoogleLabs’ is such a unique name; talk us through more about it, please. Our audience would also love to know what kind of problem you are solving?

Thank you for the compliment. It is a unique name. We brainstormed it for quite a few days. While I was crystal clear on the services I wanted to offer, the name was a bit trickier. The initial team of MoogleLabs made various suggestions, and this is the one everyone liked. We always planned on having a research team, and hence Labs was added to Moogle.

We are currently solving a range of problems. For one, we have created SleepBleep, an application that uses AI to detect signs of sleepiness and alert the driver of the car.”

Other than that, we have created ML, AI, and IoT-based solutions to help businesses improve their operations efficiency and overall results.

What does your company specialise in?

MoogleLabs is a tech-based organization pioneering in revolutionary technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain solutions, DevOps, Data Science, the Internet of Things, Metaverse, Web 3.0, and several more.

We have accumulated several awards for our contribution to major organizations globally and are currently working on both in-house and client-based projects to make the world better for everyone.

With various teams, each specializing in one sector or the other, we are experts in all services businesses need to make their operations better while improving their customer experience.

How do you manage to keep going despite the challenges? What drives you?

I am intrinsically motivated, driven by monetary gains and internal satisfaction. I have always believed in doing whatever I do to the best of my capabilities. And so, all the challenges and pitfalls I have faced became stepping stones in my journey to create something that I could cherish in life.”

My family is one driving force behind my dedication to work and never giving up. Other than that, my will to be responsible for something bigger, taking on a challenge, and seeing it through are two more factors that have kept me going, even during tumultuous times.

Who do you believe has been the biggest source of motivation in your daily life?

I have a beautiful wife and two young children who fill my life with motivation. Also, I was lucky enough to meet some of the most respectable professionals and visionaries in my corporate life. They are also a huge part of my motivation to do what I do now.

What are some of the strategies that you believe have helped you grow as a person?

I have had to work on myself to reach where I am today. But, in essence, three things have changed me as a person. For one, I am more mindful of everything, including my surrounding and how I talk to others.

Being resourceful was mandatory for me to survive in trying times. And last but not least, being courageous enough to take risks and explore new territories for improved results.”

In your opinion what are the keys to success?

Some of the key factors that led me to success include sheer curiosity, my positive attitude, avoiding action paralysis, and taking responsibility for my actions.

Also, having the ability to look at your setbacks as opportunities to improve or innovate has helped me reach such success.  There are no shortcuts to success. You make a plan, adapt, persevere, and create the future you want.

What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?

DevOps, Blockchain solutions, Data Analytics, AI Services, Machine Learning, DevOps, and other revolutionary technologies are here now, and they are transforming every industry. So, if you are starting out in the field, think a few years ahead to try to decipher the languages that skill sets that would remain relevant in the long run.

But that does not mean that you should be afraid of change. The IT industry functions on innovation, so it does offer you the option of rediscovering your passion every few years. Create a career path and follow it. Realign your goals with changing times and per your personal skills and ambitions.

A career in the IT industry can be highly lucrative for both people wanting to work a job and for those who want to create something new. So, choose your skill sets wisely and take embrace change.

Last but not least, what are the three most important lessons you have learned in your life?

Living the corporate life and starting a company at the crux of the pandemic does leave you with several life lessons.  So, here are the top three essential lessons that I have learned in life:

> Change is the only constant. I did make a lot of choices per the circumstances, but life hit me with curveballs, and I overcame them because I understand that change is bound to happen. Adapting to your circumstances is the only way to survive.

> Perseverance is Essential for Success. I credit all of my success to never giving up. With so many ups and downs, it would have been easier to give up on my dream and go back to the cushion that is a corporate job. However, entrepreneurship rewards people who are willing to invest their efforts into it.

> Prioritizing is a skill set. Going through the flow of life without questioning anything is possible but not ideal. Every day, I prioritize various daily tasks. And every year, I realign my life goals and priorities to better meet my needs.
