Excerpts from our exclusive Interview with Mamta:

Hi Mamta, tell us a little bit about yourself and your journey, please;

First of all, thanks for giving me an opportunity to share my experience. I come from a humble background; below-average family which was living in a very small town. My family was just able to arrange bread and butter. We had no luxury & no solid backup of money.

I had only one thing at that time – a solid zeal of doing something great to support my family and to fulfil all of my dreams. I decided to leave the village and came to Jaipur. Thanks to my mom to support my decision. Since then, there was no looking back.

I started my career as a Tele-caller trainee with 3000 Rupees monthly salary in 2010. I hopped jobs until I was paid a monthly salary of 8000 Rupees.

After doing jobs for 1 year. I was given an opportunity to join as a director in bGlide IT Innovations Pvt. Ltd. At that time, bGlide was a non-working company with 0 turnovers.

It was not an easy decision though, as I was offered a zero salary package and sharing of profit only. It was a tough time to support my family for the next coming months. We started an entirely new project with no possibility for a profit for the coming months. But I knew bigger risks give bigger returns.

And today here is the result in front of you.

Tell us why did you choose entrepreneurship over a job?

My dreams were high, and I knew any job can not help me to achieve those. So there was only one option of taking risks and proving myself in the journey of entrepreneurship.

What gets you out of bed in the morning i.e. what’s your source of motivation?

Our first project which we decided to work upon was 5th.in

We had a clear vision of making it as #1 portal regarding Packers & Movers industry in India. As we choose very tough deadlines, it was my source of motivation to work as hard as possible.

We had to appoint team, we had to do SEO to rank 5th.in on #1 position. We had to find our first client etc. We decided to cover all within 6 months.

You know

सपनें वो नहीं है जो नींदो में आते हैं !

सपनें तो वो हैं जिनके कारण हम सो नहीं पाते हैं !

Mamta Kanwar Co-Founder At bGlide Group of Companies

What challenges/obstacles did you face in your journey so far?

Oh! If I begin to answer this question, it will require hours or maybe days.

In a journey of entrepreneurship, specially womenpreneurs in India. You have to face unlimited obstacles. I will only say that every obstacle will come and go away if you are strongly determined to do your work as seriously as possible.

No obstacle can be bigger than your determination.

What comes first for you – money or emotions?

To be true to all the readers, initially, money was a bigger driving force for me as it was a necessity. But I have seen a lot of money coming and going both, today money has 0% importance for me. Now I am driven by emotions only, the emotions of doing something great for our society especially to empower women.

How do you handle the pressure and manage stress?

Please don’t remind me of the stress (Lol). Jokes apart! I simply take a break, sometimes for hours or sometimes for a longer time. I start watching TV, watching movies, cooking the food for my family and friends, going shopping etc. I do the stuff which relaxes me, and then I return to work with higher energy.

What strategies you believe has helped you grow as a person?

There are three strategies.

1st is keep learning.

2nd is always keep learning.

And 3rd is never quit learning.

Conclusively; the mantra is to ‘Keep Learning’

In your opinion what steps should one follow to success?

There are three steps to success

1 – Learn some stuff which is required to grow.

2 – Do experiments with that newly learned stuff in your product, in your market, in your plans etc.

3 – If results are good, keep leaning in the same direction and try improving the results. If the results are bad, keep learning to find new ways which will improve your results.

If you can put yourself in this loop. You will be guaranteed to achieve your desired success.

What advice would you give to someone starting out as an entrepreneur?

I found a lot of newly born entrepreneurs are trying to find a billion-dollar idea. Never try to find an idea. Try to find a problem and an innovative way of solving it. If you could be able to solve a problem of any industry consider it half done of your success.

Secondly, keep in mind that a single person can not do everything. Always try to find a good partner or a good mentor. Then build a team of good people.

Never, never, and never do anything wrong with your team. The team is always the biggest asset.

Is there any person, whom you would like to thank for supporting you?

Very thanks to my family for supporting me every time. Thanks to Sandeep (Founder Director of bGlide Group) for giving me first opportunity and mentorship during my entire journey. Special thanks to my entire team. Thanks to clients who show interest in our products. Thanks to everyone who helped us to achieve our goals.

And ya! Thank you, God, for everything happened.

Thank you, readers, for giving your time!
