Interview With Nehakshma | Founder of TheStyleForever

Nehakshma | thestyleforever

We spoke to another promising digital entrepreneur and blogger, Nehakshma – Founder of TheStyleForever. She is also a social media influencer and has collaborated with multiple fashion brands.  Here is a sneak peak into her journey through our exclusive interview with her. Let’s have a read.

Excerpts from our interview with Nehakshma:

Why did you choose blogging/entrepreneurship over a job?

I always believe that entrepreneurs are artists, they paint into reality with their opinions which speaks for themselves. Honestly speaking, when I started blogging I was in misery and so I started writing what and how I felt gradually I turned to write something meaningful like about fashion. I was inspired from myself because I can recollect people and my own friends calling my fashion a disaster back in my school days…( chuckles) no doubt today even I laugh looking at my old FB pictures but what I realized is that I was my best myself and was in utmost comfort. Being an entrepreneur is not just all about to be your own boss but it much more beyond and a responsible thing. As I am on that journey already I comprehend that fashion is divergent for each one of us and it is okay to wear and look however you want, I myself had two pairs of clothes that I used to wear every alternate day in my teenage years because that is what made me feel happy. However I developed over the years but through my blogs I just want to make people inspire and convey that it is all right to be the way you are there is no need to rush into things because if you are meant to evolve you will and if not then maybe God has blessed you to be the best of yourself.

What gets you out of bed in the morning i.e. what’s your source of motivation?
If speaking ideally than everything around me is my source of inspiration. I love to travel and even though I might not be good at knowing people I can be a quite good observer for things that I would want to next blog about. Throughout the time from dawn to dusk I jot down things in bits and pieces which galvanizes me and when I go to bed I always make sure that before everything else I put a notepad and a pen aside because the best of ideas come when I am crashing my bed so as and when I wake up, I write them down immediately that is the first thing I do. And then the urge of bringing the ideas into the realty pushes me out of the bed and motivates me to work on it with lots of dedication. Certainly, everything that I think does not yields the best results but I never give up, I again go to sleep and wake up with new ideas and concepts.

What challenges/obstacles did you face in your journey so far?
Being in a startup phase I have faced lot many challenges well I don’t deny I wouldn’t face it later but at the moment the major challenge for me is of course to understand my audience and write what they are exactly looking forward to reading and more importantly I would love to provide a perspective to them in whatever I put forth as it might not be necessary that we would be like-minded on everything but also I don’t want this to create a barrier for me to pitch them what I believe in. Moreover maintaining that dynamic balance between the audience and the brands is exigent, especially when I know that I am a mediator which demands to be conceptual but at the same time I know I need to be transparent and therefore definitely I need to abide by certain guidelines.

Tell our audience more about your failures? How should one bounce back?
oh!! tell me about failures, I have numerous of them but I always outlook them as not the number of times I had failed rather a number of times I have bounced back. There is no bad in being successful every time but lucky are those who meet failures in the start because I see this as a standpoint to learn out of my mistake or wrong going so that I will probably be more tough, resilient and stronger the next time. I always tell to people that patient is alive when his electrogram of the heart shows ups and downs without this there would be the end so the baseline for this is that to keep going ‘up’s&down’s’ are required, one just have to face them as a challenge and grow above.

What comes first for you – money or emotions?
I am not a materialistic person if there is something I put across to my audience than I would strongly believe in that. A blog only expands when you work on the quality of content delivering because numbers don’t matter but the value placed on these numbers are significant. No doubt money plays the fuel but for a blog to strive there has to be emotions acting the major role that connects me as a reader to my audience which forms a sentimental base.

How do you handle the pressure and manage stress?
Phew!! This can be actually tough because many times I just feel like to give up but then what keeps me going is the real love I receive from my audience and actually seeing it shower on the post or blog that I make putting all efforts and investing that as hard work brings out the sense of happiness in me. This outcome of dedication that I put in is all worth. And actually, it is easy if you do your homework on the day itself the stress is much less. Apart from this when sometimes it is too much I give myself a day off because it is really important to stay connected to yourself first.

What advice would you give to someone starting out, particularly to aspiring women entrepreneurs? Why should people follow their passion?
I would only say ‘Plan Plan and Plan’, route out the maps, calculate and divide time to work on different aspects of a business. Entrepreneurship can seem really attractive but it takes a lot more than the superficial things you see. Being a woman entrepreneur myself I would like to tell that we have many responsibilities and we do play many roles, look how can you fit yourself and connect into your venture without compromising on anything. Definitely business needs brains to be run but it requires the heart to set the strong core for it. I recommend people to do lots of R&D all though this can be actually boring we all live for passion and with passion comes to interest and commitment which shall indeed make you successful. I would be myself happy to extend support to those women entrepreneurs who are start-ups, they can reach me out anytime on my mail id [email protected]
