“When suffering happens, it forces us to confront life in a different way than we normally do.”- Philip Yancey

I am a certified Life Coach and Business Coach, Energy Healer, Arhatic Yogi and Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner who works towards helping people rise above the difficult phases of their life and manifest their desires by transforming themselves.

I also hold an Engineering degree in Electronics & communication which helps me use science and related concepts of quantum physics and neuroplasticity alongside spirituality to ensure the holistic development of those I connect with.

My journey of becoming a life coach started with my own sufferings and my attempt to shift my perspective to understand and overcome these challenges. It has been more than 15 years when my relationships were a mess, my self-worth had hit rock bottom and I was chaotic inside-out. I had tried all that I knew but nothing was working out. The solutions that I had were failing and I was desperately looking for new solutions to turn things around.”

This quest led me to Landmark Education and its various courses that spoke about different aspects of our mind, body, soul, karma, emotions, origin, etc. Soon, I enrolled on my first course. As I applied its learnings to my life, that aspect of my life started improving.

I was elated. However, I still found myself stuck at other things. So, one after the other, I went through all the teachings that I could gather and started transforming every area of my life. Along the way, I blended science with spirituality and found logic-driven sense in everything around me.

As the answers unfolded and I attained clarity, I learnt to master my emotions and my thoughts. My life went full-throttle. Relationships soared and joy blossomed. This was when I understood how easy it all was.

Once my life started working, I tried guiding others around me to overcome their challenges. Seeing them happy ushered me with a new sense of fulfilment. It was then that I realized that this was what I wanted to do – to help others live better through all the knowledge that I had acquired.

The passion to create a happier world eventually turned into a profession and led me to coach hundreds of people from all walks of life. As we worked together, they learnt to leave behind their baggage, achieve all that they want and live their life full-on.”

During my years of pursuing one course after the other, I was literally running from pillar to pole to identify a course that was right for me. Back then, I had deeply felt the need for a single institution that could impart all the knowledge, skills and tools of life coaching in one place.

This realization inspired me to start ‘Life of Joy School of Transformation’ – a one-year life coaching program encompassing all facets of life coaching. As I move ahead, I look forward to building a large community of certified life and business coaches to make this world a better place.

What made you passionate about ‘Coaching’?

People walk into my office feeling defeated, lost, terrible and broke. They walk up to me, considering me as their last ray of hope to help them rise above all this and find their true potential. Imagine, what a privilege it is to be able to walk along with these beautiful souls and help them in their journey of self-discovery and empowerment!

My passion for life coaching stems from the happiness and pride I feel in guiding my clients as they find their own strength to make positive and lasting lives. It is such a delight to see them get rid of their negative self-limiting thought patterns and behaviours to find their light again.”

The fact that I get to meet so many unique people, each with a unique story of their own, inspires me further. I feel honoured for the trust that they put in me while opening up their lives and depending on me for a solution. It is extraordinary to see them come out of their shells to realize their awesome potential.  As every heart and eyes light up with hope, positivity, love, excitement, compassion, fulfilment and faith, I grow fonder about what I do and the lives I touch.

How do you manage to keep going despite the challenges? What drives you?

Challenges are a part of life. They will always be. But how I respond to these challenges keeps me going. I choose not to react to them. I choose to let them pass. And I choose to learn from them.

On days when I get discouraged, I simply pause. I just sit by the window and take a few deep breaths. Every breath in and out relaxes the storm inside me. It gives me the mental space and time to slow down and reflect. I think of the positive things in my life and all the positive contributions that I have made to the lives I touch.”

The reminder of every smile on my client’s face and the satisfaction of my colleagues recharge me again. The breaths inspire me and once again fill me with passion and life. The thought that I am not just serving myself but also my clients rekindle me from within and inspires me infinitely. This is the driving force that keeps me going and pursuing my goals.

What are some of the strategies that you believe have helped you grow as a person?

Going through life is compulsory. Growing through it is a choice.

All of us consider situations and opportunities necessary for growth. The fact is quite the contrary. Growth comes from within. My experiences and events of life – the beautiful, bad and ugly- and the meanings that I have attached to them have shaped up my personal journey of growth.

The beauty of life is that you do not have to transform overnight. So, my strategy of growth has always been about taking one aspect at a time – self-love, acceptance, discipline, compassion, kindness, focus, self-control.

I have always worked on mastering one thing; understanding and internalizing it, before moving on to the next. Here are some things that have helped me to grow as a person:

– Firm belief in my strengths has helped me to unleash my potential and power to create lasting transformation

– Counting on my blessings and being grateful for what I have

– Practicing self-control on how I respond to things and situations

– A disciplined approach to life to keep me on goals and away from distractions

– Focusing my energy on things, energy and resources that matter most

– Making meaningful contributions to people and the environment

– Staying connected with inspiring people, content and places

Peyush Bhatia

You are always positive and motivated, what keeps you going?

When your ‘why’ becomes bigger your ‘how’ becomes smaller.

‘Why’ is your core purpose. When it is bigger than yourself and your personal goals, you are driven by a different kind of force. Your ‘why’ then opens up ways to find the necessary resources (how) despite all the negativity and challenges.

For me, why I am doing what I am doing and my reason behind serving as a life coach is crystal clear. I coach to give back to my clients, my people, my community, my country and the world at large.

I coach to see those priceless smiles and rekindle hope in countless hearts. I coach so that people can identify their true self and live a life of fulfilment and joy. Money or fame is just a small part of the whole game. I am here on a mission to make a true difference in the lives I touch.

My purpose is much bigger than me and pulls me forward, no matter what.

In your opinion, what are the keys to success?

People often think that constant motivation is the real key to success. What they forget is that motivation is always short-lived. Think about it like this- what happens after you read a motivating book or attend a motivational seminar? You are all charged up and ready to take the world. But, for how long – a few hours, few days or few months at the most! Then the motivation runs down and success runs away.

The real key to success is self-transformation. It is about knowing who you are, what you are here for and what is your ultimate goal. Success is in identifying and changing your old belief system and challenging your self-limiting thoughts and patterns. Think of life as a hot air balloon with sandbags tied to its ends. These sandbags represent your negative mindset, self-sabotaging thoughts, guilt, shame, pain and hurt from the past.

Unless you let the sandbags fall off, the hot air balloon will not rise. Similarly, for you to be successful and fly high, you will have to embark on a journey of self-transformation and leave behind all that is not working for you. Once you realize your soul purpose, self-transformation will be an effortless process. You will automatically be pulled towards doing what you are meant to do and success will inevitably follow.”

My advice for success would thus be a compulsory investment in self. Everyone must invest the necessary time and resources to transform themselves. Unless you transform into the best version of yourself, you will not be able to create the best for yourself. Take support if you can’t do it alone. Talk to a therapist and start working on your sandbags immediately.

What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?

Success holds different meanings for different people. A housewife, businessman, student, parent, teacher, child, and boss – all have their own unique definition of success.

It can be money, fame, good marks, acceptance, respect, flourishing career, admission to a good university, etc. What you want to manifest in your life is success for you. But will achieving all this make you truly successful?

Think. If this was the last day of your life, how would you want your life to be? What will be most important for you? Doing what will ensure that you will have no regrets when you look back? Now, start creating this life for yourself. This, in the true sense, will be a successful life.

My advice to all students and young professionals would be:

> Attain clarity about your ‘why’. Know your mission, your true purpose and ensure that it is higher than your own self. Always live your life from the end. Once your why is clear, it will automatically pull you towards itself and success would follow.

> When you are passionate about what you are doing it doesn’t feel like you are doing something. Always follow your passion and the outcome will naturally be great.

> Always try to touch as many lives as you can. Stop by a person in need, talk to an elderly, go out of the way to help others, smile often. Doing these will help you taste the pleasures that no materialistic achievement can bring.
