Let’s read more!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Rahul:

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your journey, please;

I am Rahul Rajeev, cofounder of Venteskraft Global & Venteskraft Media. I am a dropout from Vellore Institute of Technology where I pursued Mechanical engineering. Right now I deal with finances and marketing so it makes sense to drop out from a college where I was learning engineering. I am also into lifestyle mentoring where I choose students who are mentally and emotionally unstable and who are struggling to make an effective lifestyle to tackle their goals.

Why did you choose entrepreneurship over a job?

If I am working for another company all I do will be provide value to the company and myself. when I chose mentorship I not only provide value to myself I change lives of a lot of people who wants to break free from horrible bosses, have control of their life and to lead it the way they want. only by becoming an entrepreneur I was able to make sure that I meant something to the society and my country by training and mentoring people.

What gets you out of bed in the morning i.e. what’s your source of motivation?

I would say it is difficult. to be motivated every day and to wake up from the bed when u know the results are not gonna get in one day is a very big thing. if you ask any successful person out there well he wouldn’t have an answer for the motivation he gets and from where. maybe it is because I do not want to be like any normal person out there who works just because he has to pay bills. I am not worried about my existence because I am not just here to exist, I wanna leave a footprint here where everyone says he has provided us with immense value. Also, if you wanna wake up early, you gotta sleep early and it can happen only when u can avoid a lot of pleasures that money offers you to stay lazy and inefficient.

What challenges/obstacles did you face in your journey so far?

For everyone who starts a business where quality product/service is given the major obstacle is to convince your customers/clients that we do it better than the others who are in the market for so long. it is to make the enquiries turn into deals. not everyone wants to risk their money with a newbie in the market. they prefer people with experience no matter even if the quality isn’t that great. that is why we see the logos of most companies starting with established in so and so a year.

What comes first for you – money or emotions?

Neither of them because both are not a measure of the work I am doing. I am someone who only cares about what I can give and I try to give more than I charge for. So, if you think money motivates me I would say it is a byproduct, going to bed feeling that I have achieved something and expecting much better performance the next day is what counts.

When it comes to emotions, well I am a human being, I am quite an emotional person sine my star sign is cancer but when it comes to business it is stupid to be emotional. If your decisions are based on emotions and not statistics you are gonna end up bankrupt soon. I do care about my customers and as long as I am giving the best service I don’t think I need emotions to back me.

How do you handle the pressure and manage stress?

Well if you can’t handle the stress you better go for a 9 to 5 job where u are good at doing what you are told to. Entrepreneurship is all about not knowing what to do next and figuring it out at the same time. a good workout routine and a great diet help me stay out of stress and I keep building a great body for a great mindset.

What is one strategy that you believe has helped you grow as a person?

It is to make mistakes, only if you make one you will be criticised by yourself and by others.

In your opinion what are the keys to success?

A very well-disciplined life!!

What advice would you give to someone starting out?

I always work on a tag line ‘add value to get value’. Don’t focus primarily on money or investments but keep your focus on creating a sustainable venture & value creation. I believe, rest things will automatically set with time. Also, if you are starting up a venture, feel free to reach out to us. You will find us a great mentor to you with innovative means.
