Excerpts from our exclusive interview with her:

Tell us more about HBS Consulting, How does it help its clients?

HBS Consulting is a client focused organization, deploying various tools & techniques for positive business outcomes. With our experienced team, we help our clients navigate through the “VUCA” times. We focus on three key domains of business – HR, Sales and Business Consulting. We partner with our clients to transform their organizations in ways that help them create a difference.
We help our clients across various industry segments in setting up directions in ever changing business context. We work together with our clients in building capabilities and turn dreams into reality.

Why did you choose to be a mentor and a coach?

It’s a long story, however, if we simplify it – I would say that I am driven by contribution and knowledge as they are my core strengths.

From a very early age, I had the ability to look beyond the limitation people have and can help them break those barriers. And this journey led to the realisation of my potential of being coach and a mentor.
My goal is simple ” to help you achieve yours”.

How do you do this, what makes you stand out and also what are your weaknesses?

~ I believe in simplifying things to figure out flexible solutions to rigid and complex issues.

~ Always leaping forward to add value and create a thought process that takes me and my clients forward.

Weakness is that, sometimes, I put too much effort into helping others and tolerate too much for the end result. Although, I am straight forward sometimes I delay it.

What gets you out of bed in the morning i.e. what’s your source of motivation?

Good Question. I am a reader, I love to read. Take notes and I absorb and incubate. Mornings are always exciting as I love what I do, I am a self-motivated person, my work is my passion and my purpose. Once your purpose is aligned to what you do, there is no dull moment and I have been extremely lucky that in that department of life.

Why should people choose your products/services?

See, We at HBS CONSULTING believe that people should always choose the product or service which tends to create value for them and build their potentials. Also, All are our services under are focused around it.

If there is anything where we cannot serve the expectations or cannot create value, we are open to say no directly to the people. Also, I believe all your services & the way you provide it, should involve some sort of innovation. You can sense the flavour of same in our services. This is something which creates us as a differentiator.

What’s your competitive advantage and why can’t it be copied?

HBS Consulting thinks tank is our competitive advantage. We are a team of experts, who are driven by contribution, knowledge and achievement. We believe in continuous learning. Services can be copied but the way how to make them innovative in terms of deliverables & to find innovative solutions is something which can’t be copied. Our services are based on 3 I’s  ~ Integrity, Innovation And Insight.

What challenges/obstacles did you face in your journey so far?

Every business has risks. Our risks are associated with the right skill set that we look for expansion in future. We already have a core niche team but I see from future expansion perspective, we would need innovative minds, with the flexible thought process. Although, with a clearly defined process, and innovative means to reach out to search resource, we are confident enough that we will mitigate it.

Tell our audience more about your failures? How should one bounce back?

Failure is a friend, who doesn’t sweet talk, doesn’t mince word, shows you the mirror and walks with you always as a lesson. You don’t need to be scared; you need to know him better to know yourself better. My faith and my ability to accept who I am, what I do and why I am doing helps me with clarity and leads me to go forward relentlessly.

What comes first for you – money or emotions?

I would say Value, that’s what comes first for me.  And both the above help us in creating that. Money can by resources to add value and emotions can lead to self-evaluation.

I am an emotional person. Business needs to have emotion, as it is all about building trust, connecting with people on a core level and not just superficial level and that can be done with quality interactions, understanding emotions, deliverables, client satisfaction, targets & roadmaps, you planned & how you will achieve it, etc. Money is obviously the priority but I believe if your value creation process is right for others, the money will automatically come as an outcome of it.

What advice would you give to someone starting out, particularly to aspiring women entrepreneurs?

I always work on a tag line ‘be more, do more, have more’.

Don’t focus primarily on money or investments but keep your focus on creating a sustainable venture & value creation. I firmly believe that she first needs to ask herself a few tough ones like ~

  1. Why she is getting into this arena?

  2. What is per personal growth plan?

  3. What are her core values and contributors?

  4. What is her purpose behind this journey? A product or service attached to purpose is always going to add value.

I believe, rest things will automatically set with time. Also, if you are starting up a venture, feel free to reach out to us. You will find us a great partner or mentor to you with innovative means.

What is one thing, you recommend to the reader?

One thing I can recommend to our readers is that start spending one hr a day, in reading, writing or doing something that will add VALUE to you, just you. No hidden agendas, no ifs and buts, no pleasing others, no validations, just for you, for a day, one day at a time and do it for a lifetime.

This has changed me, how I look at others and how I look at goals and life. I love to write, my blog and Instagrams, my articles on LinkedIn are all about my everyday one hr journey for the last 8 yrs.

It is the best way to reach your potential, no matter where you are, what you are doing, what you are afraid off or what are your limitations.  JUST BE MORE, DO MORE, HAVE MORE.
