She is a Trainer, Consultant, Sales strategist and Retail expert. Let’s learn more about her incredible journey!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Tripte:

We are aware of your contributions to the startup ecosystem; talk us through your background and your journey as a trainer, please;

Like in any other profession, the transition phase is the most difficult one. Especially when you realise after 10 years of working in a particular sector when you realise this is not my calling.

To start over again from zero is always a challenge as it’s the pitfall of the ride one needs to brace itself as it definitely pops your heart out. Similarly, I too had my share of pitfalls but persistence is what pays off eventually.”

I started at the age of 16 as front desk operator and after that, I changed odd jobs from a primary school teacher to facilities head, to Administration manager and Building Incharge where I was responsible for the complete functioning of the 5lacs sq ft premises and then was forced into sabbatical for 4 years due to economical market crash in 2008.

Currently, I am a Learning and Development Consultant for almost 11 years and have successfully built a reputation as a Retail & Sales Expert.”

Please share with us a unique challenge you faced in your early career?

When you are young energetic and naïve challenges don’t even look like challenges they are so much part of your daily life.  All the challenges look like challenges now when I have learned so much from it and when I introspect my journey.

I remember my first job taught me how important it is to communicate as per hierarchy and people at the top are not bothered by it but the mid-level cares more for it.

Don’t show your weakness unless it’s safe and don’t hesitate to ask why and how, it saves a lot of extra work.

As a woman, never give into any kind of harassment at the workplace as reporting it will not spoil your reputation but of the person who is doing it.

When I was on sabbatical the greatest lesson of life was nothing can be worse than this have patience and keep looking for the best and always do your best.

When I started as a trainer I realized listening to advice from everyone will not take you anywhere so just believe in yourself and keep doing hard work it will eventually pay off.”

Most importantly no one can take away what you deserve. Whatever happens always happens for the best.

How did you discover your passion?

That was actually very sudden just like someone switched on the switch in my head. I was out of a job for about 3 years and was lost about my future as after such a long sabbatical it was difficult to get back the same position and salary. I had tried various contacts but nothing worked out.

One fine afternoon after the household chores, I sat to read the newspaper as that was the time I could spare myself to read beyond headlines, in detail. I read this article on Corporate training, the upcoming profession. After reading the article I felt this is what I can do.

This sounds like something close to my heart and something in which I can do better as during my previous work experience my people management and communication skills were appreciated by many. Then I found out some courses to get certified and to understand the niche of this profession and became the Soft Skills Trainer.

With so much going on, how do you start the day to keep your passion alive?

Frankly speaking pandemic has taken its toll on mental as well as physical health. Workload has increased at the home front and stress has increased at the professional front as had to adapt different methods, different platforms of virtual training.

The thing that keeps me going is hope for a better tomorrow. With two young kids at my toe, I cannot afford to let the energy down for a long time. I had my share of loss and despair during this time and the blow of losing someone close to your heart is maddening sometimes it just numbs your senses. But we all know life can never stop and so the time. It’s in our hands and mind to change our current state and strive for a better one.

I found a new hobby of growing and nurturing plants to keep me going and yes started working on self-development for better professional me.

In your opinion what are the keys to success?

“Always be ready to unlearn and relearn and never hesitate to ask questions is the key to success”

It’s never too late to acquire knowledge and knowledge doesn’t come only from books, it comes a lot from how you live your life every day. Never say never and never hesitate to understand things as it may give you a new perspective.

We know that you are continuously engaged in helping others achieve their goals. Why do you do that?

I am blessed to be in a profession of sharing knowledge and experience. When you stand in front of your participants and if you are not able to add value to their purpose then my profession is a waste is what I think.

I am quite aware of the fact that you cannot please everyone, however, if my knowledge can add some value to even one human per batch then I have touched over thousands of lives in the last 11 years and I am proud of myself to be able to do it.

The sense of fulfilment I get when my participants approach me and tell me about how my sessions helped them in their career and growth, it is just unexplainable. It gives immense pleasure and satisfaction to the work that I am doing.

I am an ardent believer in KARMA. What goes comes back. My profession is actually helping me improve my karma is what I feel.

What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?

“Believe in yourself and follow your dreams, it’s never too late to achieve your dreams” may sound clichéd but let me explain it. If you believe in yourself, you will never take a risk to take that first step which may be your turning point towards success.

If you don’t believe in yourself, you will never do things which you like doing or enjoy doing. If you don’t believe in yourself, you will never do any research or study about how to achieve your dreams. Dreams can be anything, it can be your own dream or a dream to fulfil the dreams of others. For anything you need to have super belief in yourself only then you can take steps towards its fulfilment and achieve it.

There are many unconventional career options available these days so please do proper study about it and understand if you will be able to take it up as a career lifetime. Will you be happy in it for a lifetime and even if you are not what is your second and third-best option. Lastly, I would only like to say to all

“Success can’t be measured in money it is measured in happiness”
