Excerpts from our exclusive Interview with Udit:

Talk us through your background and also your startup PitchGround, please;

I launched Pitchground on 25th September 2018 out of my own frustration. When I was working on the latest SaaS, I was being consulted by a wrong SaaS consultant in the Industry which led to hundreds of unhappy customers. After doing research, I found out that, I am not the only one suffering. Hence, I decided that day no SaaS Founder ever needs to go through what I went through which led to the birth of PitchGround.

I built up a small prototype of the platform in just one month and launched the platform and did over $80,000 in the first month.”

As a Founder with over 13 years of experience and multiple exits, I knew how to grow fast as I had done it in the past.

Why did you choose entrepreneurship over a job?

For me, it was all about solving specific problems with my own style and hence, Job wasn’t meant for me.

I need the freedom to test and experiment. Plus, I come from an entrepreneur’s background and most of my family members around me are entrepreneurs.

How do you find the industry/niche that you’re in?

I love software, the way tech automates and helps small companies to grow fast has always fascinated me. Hence, I have been in the SaaS industry for a several years now.

What gets you out of bed in the morning i.e. what’s your source of motivation?

My passion that I have for marketing and software along with my team who shares the same mission/vision as me keeps me motivated and grounded.

What challenges/obstacles did you face in your journey so far?

So far, plenty, right from acquiring users, to dealing with horrible ex-employee, I have seen it all in the journey so far.

What comes first for you – money or emotions?

Emotions – Anytime.

How do you handle the pressure and manage stress?

I love music, reading, playing guitar and games as a part of my stress management.

What is one strategy that you believe has helped you grow as a person/startup?

One strategy that has worked the most for me is giving back to the user’s audiences a ton of value for free with absolutely no expectations.

In your opinion what are the keys to success?

Your passion for your work and a strong team that shares the same mission/vision is the key to success.

What advice would you give to someone starting out as an aspiring entrepreneur?
