Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Selvi:

We are aware of your initiative towards holistic wellness and your recent podcast Arise and Awake with Selvi; talk us through your background and your journey, please;

As a holistic wellness coach and podcaster, I approach the concept of wellness from a multifaceted perspective. I believe that true wellness encompasses not only physical health, but also emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.

In my coaching practice, I utilize a variety of modalities such as mindfulness techniques, pranic healing, emotional freedom technique and the law of attraction to empower individuals to take an active role in their own healing and self-care.

I also incorporate principles of Yoga, meditation and breaking the ancestral patterns through karmic healing, which looks at the underlying causes of imbalances and addresses them holistically.

As a podcaster, I am passionate about sharing the latest research and insights in the field of holistic wellness, as well as providing a platform for experts to share their knowledge and experiences.

I believe that by educating and empowering individuals to make informed choices about their health, we can create a more conscious and compassionate society.

Ultimately, my goal as a holistic wellness coach and podcaster is to assist individuals in not just surviving, but thriving in all aspects of their lives.

How did you discover your passion?

As an HR professional with over 15 years of experience, I have had the privilege of interacting with a diverse range of individuals, including candidates, employees, and senior leadership professionals, across various domains.

My responsibilities have encompassed advising on organizational strategy, supporting employee career growth, and overseeing aspects such as hiring, orienting, and training.

Throughout my tenure, I have been exposed to a wide range of emotions and experiences, including those of employees as they progress in their careers, navigate conflicts and challenges, and pursue new opportunities.

I have sought to approach these experiences with professionalism, while also being deeply empathetic to the emotions and struggles of those around me.

In an effort to make an even greater positive impact in the lives of those I interact with, I have ventured into the study of energies, pranic healing, tarot card reading, EFT, and guided meditation.”

This journey has led me to become a  Certified meditation coach, Tarot card reader-master, Pranic healer-Advanced and Psychotherapy. 

An EFT practitioner, with aspirations to become an accredited, certified advanced EFT practitioner by EFT International. I have often been told by those around me that they feel a sense of connection and healing when interacting with me.

While I may not have fully understood my purpose in life before, I now feel that my true calling is to guide, heal, and direct individuals towards a holistic and fulfilling life.

How do you manage to keep going despite the challenges? What drives you?

As a holistic wellness coach and podcaster, I understand the importance of self-care and resilience in the face of challenges. I believe that one of the keys to maintaining motivation and perseverance is to have a clear sense of purpose and a deep understanding of the impact that my work can have on the lives of others.

I feel it’s my moral obligation to give it back to society. I focus on women especially in their mid-age to realize and relive their aspirations and dreams and make them believe that it isn’t too late and they can still work on their mental, physical and emotional wellness.”

To keep going, I make sure to prioritize self-care and to regularly take time for activities that nourish my mind, body, and soul. This includes practices such as meditation, yoga, journaling, and spending time in nature.

Additionally, I surround myself with a supportive community of individuals who share my passion for wellness and who provide encouragement and inspiration. I love reaching out to people who are unaware of this healing and who need it the most but can’t afford it and have no access to it.

Moreover, my drive comes from the knowledge that my work has the power to empower people to take control of their well-being and to live more fulfilling lives. I believe in the transformative power of holistic wellness practices and I am motivated to share this knowledge and experience with as many people as possible.

I am also driven by the desire to help individuals to learn how to manage their emotions and stress in a healthy way, while also encouraging them to be in touch with their inner selves and to live with authenticity.”

In short, self-care, sense of purpose, community, and the desire to empower others are the key factors that keep me going and motivated despite any challenges I might face in my work as a holistic wellness coach and podcaster.

Who do you believe has been the biggest source of motivation in your daily life?

As a holistic wellness coach and podcaster, I am deeply inspired by the individuals I have had the privilege of working with.

Each person I have interacted with has been a source of motivation, as they have taught me valuable lessons, shared their own struggles and triumphs, and reminded me of the importance and impact of my work.

While there are many great people and personalities who have been instrumental in changing my life but if I had to mention one I would say it’s my daughter, I would definitely give her the credit for generating the first spark inside me that I had the power to heal.

However, if I had to pick one specific source of motivation, it would be the people who come to me in a place of vulnerability, seeking guidance and support.

These individuals have shown me the power of resilience, courage and determination. They have also reminded me that even when life gets difficult, we all have the ability to make positive changes in our lives and to find healing, growth and fulfilment.

I have found that when people are willing to be open, to be honest with themselves, and to take action on their goals, it is an incredible source of inspiration for me.

Their willingness to take risks and to put in the work to improve their well-being is a constant reminder of the power of the human spirit and the impact that my work can have.

In addition, the feedback and testimonials from the people who have been positively impacted by my guidance and advice have been a significant source of motivation for me.

Knowing that I have been able to make a difference in someone’s life and that my work has had a positive impact on their well-being, is incredibly rewarding and motivating.

In summary, it is the people I have had the privilege of working with, who have been the biggest source of motivation in my daily life as a holistic wellness coach and podcaster. Their willingness to be vulnerable, to take action, and to grow and improve is a constant inspiration to me.

What are some of the strategies that you believe have helped you grow as a person? 

As a holistic wellness coach and podcaster, I have found that a few key strategies have been instrumental in my personal growth. 

One of the most important is consistent self-reflection, which has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of myself and my motivations. Additionally, I make a consistent effort to challenge myself and step out of my comfort zone, whether through new experiences or taking on new projects. 

Furthermore, I prioritize self-care and make sure to take time to nurture my mind, body and soul, through practices such as yoga, meditation, and journaling.

Finally, being open to learning and seeking out new knowledge is another important strategy, which has helped me to grow and evolve as a person, as well as in my professional career.

In your opinion what are the keys to success?

I keep the keys very simple and easy to follow:

> Do what makes you happy

> One life live it king size

> Practice gratitude, and forgiveness every day

> Consistency is the key

> And remember don’t search for a mentor, when a student is ready for the lessons the mentor finds him ultimately.

What advice would you give to our readers?

– Set SMART goals – Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound

– Practice forgiveness and gratitude every day 

– Maintain consistency in your daily routine.

– Surround yourself with a supportive community.

– Prioritize self-care and practice mindfulness to maintain physical and mental well-being.

– Invest in your personal and professional development by continuously seeking knowledge and new skills.

– Stay open-minded and be willing to try new things, as it can lead to unexpected opportunities and growth.

– Remember to celebrate small wins and progress along the way, as it can help to maintain motivation and drive.

– Believe in the universe which believes in you

Lastly, don’t be afraid to seek help if needed, whether it’s from a therapist, coach, or trusted friend. As a holistic wellness coach, my advice to readers is to focus on both their internal and external well-being in order to achieve success.

Last but not least, what about your journey makes it satisfying/exciting?

The tears of joy countless blessings and love from my students make this entire journey fulfilling and worth it. I am constantly reminded of the power of community and the importance of giving back.

The most satisfying and exciting aspect of my journey is the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those around me. Whether it’s through free yoga camps for children or providing free healing camps for senior citizens. Im working on ways to improve the living conditions of old homes. I can call that contentment once I accomplish that. 

Being able to witness firsthand the transformation and empowerment that occurs when individuals are provided with the tools and resources to improve their well-being is truly fulfilling. It brings me immense joy to see the positive changes in people’s lives and to be a part of their journey towards a healthier and more fulfilling existence.

It is a humbling experience, as I’m constantly reminded of the importance of empathy, compassion, and the power of community. It’s a journey that is always challenging and rewarding, and one that I am committed to continuing for as long as I am able
