Vaishali Bahri Kalra

At BrilliantRead Media, we always strive to bring meaningful and inspiring stories from India and around the world to empower and motivate our growing community. As part of this endeavour, we invited Vaishali Bahri Kalrah for an exclusive interview with us. Vaishali is a Child Psychologist, Transformation and Alignment Coach, Business Strategist and Founder at CosmicKues AI. Let’s learn more about her inspiring journey, teaching philosophy, and valuable insights.

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Vaishali:

You often say that most individuals don’t lack capability; they lack clarity. What are some of the most common mental patterns that prevent capable people from making confident and aligned decisions?

The biggest mental patterns I see are self-doubt, unrealistic expectations, confusion, and an overattachment to outcomes.

Self-doubt makes capable people question whether they’re good enough even when the evidence says otherwise. Unrealistic expectations create pressure to have everything figured out before taking the first step. Confusion comes from holding too many voices, choices, and possibilities in your head at once.

And when you become fixated on the end result, you stop paying attention to what actually needs to happen next, which is where clarity, not capability, starts to matter.

The irony is that the more capable you are, the more you tend to overthink, because you can see every possibility and every consequence. That’s usually not a decision-making problem; it’s a clarity problem. Once you separate the two, self-trust becomes much easier to rebuild.

With over 15 years of experience decoding human behaviour, how has your understanding of emotional patterns, self-trust and decision-making evolved over the years?

Earlier, I used to focus more on the external patterns stopping people from making confident decisions in the situations and choices in front of them. Over the years, I’ve learned to look deeper, at the internal beliefs and emotional patterns underneath those situations.

What I’ve realised is that it’s often not the situation holding someone back; it’s what they’ve come to believe about themselves. Our subconscious beliefs, our upbringing, and our constant need for external validation gradually erode self-trust.

And when self-trust is low, even simple decisions can feel overwhelming. You second-guess yourself, look for reassurance, and worry endlessly about whether you’re making the ‘right’ choice.

That’s the shift my work and CosmicKues as a platform has really evolved around: helping people move from seeking validation outside themselves to building the self-trust to make decisions from within.

You describe clarity as both a leadership skill and a competitive advantage. How can leaders cultivate clarity while navigating uncertainty, pressure and complex business decisions?

Clarity is like a muscle; it needs to be developed and honed, not simply wished for. Having a companion or partner who supports you through the journey and calls out clarity when you need it most makes that muscle much easier to build.

Beyond that, I’d point leaders towards vision boards, affirmations, focus lists and, most importantly, regularly checking in on their objective and perspective.

In entrepreneurship especially, it’s very easy to drift from the path you started on without realising it. Protecting your focus therefore has to be intentional.

This is exactly where an AI companion like CosmicKues comes in. It helps you track your focus and objectives in real time, so clarity becomes a repeatable practice rather than something you only find in hindsight and, eventually, your competitive advantage.

CosmicKues is positioned as India’s first AI-powered mindset coaching platform. What inspired you to combine artificial intelligence with psychology and mindset coaching, and what gap does the platform aim to address?

I actually started building CosmicKues as a numerology-based tool. But as I went deeper, I realised that the challenges people brought to me were rarely about numerology alone.

Numerology gave me a fast and accurate way to understand a person’s personality, patterns and tendencies. But people also needed someone to listen, understand what they were actually going through, and help them find clarity in it. That’s where psychology and mindset coaching became just as important as numerology itself.

And then came AI.

In today’s AI-driven world, I realised that if I genuinely wanted to help more people, I needed a way to make my approach accessible to many people at once almost a digital version of how I listen, question, and guide someone through a decision.

That’s what led to CosmicKues becoming an AI-powered mindset coaching platform built around the combination of numerology and psychology rather than either one alone.

The gap I’m trying to close is simple: so many people are sitting with questions, emotional patterns and decisions they’re struggling with, but don’t have someone they can talk to at that exact moment.

CosmicKues brings together numerology for self-understanding, psychology for deeper insight and mindset coaching for clarity and action, with an AI companion that makes this kind of support accessible whenever someone needs it, rather than only during a scheduled session.

Technology is simply the medium here. The real purpose is helping more people understand themselves and find clarity when they actually need it.

Mindset coaching is deeply personal and often depends on human connection. How does CosmicKues use AI to deliver meaningful insights while preserving empathy, context and individuality?

Empathy was one of the very first things we trained into the model. Whatever question comes through, we wanted the CosmicKues AI companion to remain empathetic throughout the conversation, not just accurate. We’re not claiming 100% consistency, but we’re solidly there.

The most important part of any AI model is the training and feedback loop behind it, and we treat that as an ongoing process rather than a one-time build.

The CosmicKues bot learns more about you with every conversation, which means the insights and clarity it offers become more personal rather than more generic over time.

The more you use it, the better it understands your specific patterns. That self-training mechanism is really what allows an AI companion to feel individual instead of one-size-fits-all.

As a certified child psychologist, what early emotional or behavioural patterns have you observed that later influence confidence, self-trust, decision-making and leadership in adulthood?

I strongly believe the atmosphere at home plays a huge role in shaping a child’s emotional development, and many of those early experiences quietly influence how someone shows up as an adult.

When a child isn’t encouraged to share opinions or suggestions, they can grow up questioning their own judgement. When their emotional needs are dismissed with messages like ‘boys don’t cry’ or ‘don’t be so sensitive,’ they learn to suppress emotions instead of understanding and expressing them.

Over-parenting and micromanagement also play a role. When we constantly step in, make decisions for children or don’t let them do age-appropriate things independently, we unintentionally communicate, ‘You can’t do this without me.’ Over time, that can erode confidence and the ability to trust one’s own decisions.

Mothers, in particular, often carry this not because they’re solely responsible, but because they’re frequently the primary caregiver. Out of love and the instinct to always be available, we sometimes do things for our children that they’re fully capable of doing themselves.

Children need support, but they also need space to express themselves, make small mistakes, solve problems and experience the confidence that comes from figuring something out independently.

A child who learns, ‘My voice matters, my feelings are valid, and I can figure this out,’ is far more likely to grow into an adult with real self-trust someone who can make decisions and lead with confidence.

Many entrepreneurs struggle with overthinking, self-doubt and misaligned growth. How can they distinguish between thoughtful reflection and mental patterns that are quietly holding them back?

If you keep running into the same pattern and asking yourself the same questions over and over again, that’s usually a sign you’re inside a mental pattern rather than doing fresh thinking.

These patterns aren’t automatically good or bad, but most people get stuck in unhelpful ones without realising it.

It’s difficult to see your own patterns clearly from inside them. That’s where an outside, third-party perspective can help, and it’s exactly where AI can play a role.

By looking at the questions someone repeatedly asks, an AI companion like CosmicKues can identify recurring patterns early, often before the person consciously notices them themselves.

The simplest fix is naming the pattern. Once it is called out clearly, ‘This is the third time you’ve asked a version of this same question people tend to catch themselves and stop repeating it.

That’s the kind of clarity that can turn overthinking into an actual decision.

As you work towards making clarity more consistent, scalable and accessible through technology, what is your long-term vision for CosmicKues, and how do you see AI transforming the future of mindset coaching?

Our long-term vision for CosmicKues is to build it into the largest community for women’s emotional guidance and support, and an AI-powered mindset coaching platform that is actually there for someone in the exact moment they need it, rather than only during a scheduled session.

AI can learn context quickly and scale in ways a single human coach never could. Paired with a human-in-the-loop approach, where real people remain involved and it isn’t just algorithms, we want to reach every woman navigating a life transition, whatever that transition looks like for her.

Our goal is to make sure clarity and support are never more than a conversation away.

CosmicKues talks about building a complete ecosystem around a woman’s clarity rather than a single app or piece of advice. What does that ecosystem actually include, and how do the different parts work together?

A woman doesn’t need one more app or one more piece of advice. She needs a complete ecosystem around her because clarity doesn’t come from a single moment of insight. It comes from having support at every layer of her life.

That’s genuinely how we built CosmicKues around four pillars.

The AI Companion is the entry point. It’s the ‘2 a.m. layer’, available whenever overwhelm hits and there’s no one else to talk to. It is built around psychology, with numerology serving as an accessible entry point.

Structured Courses, such as Home CEO™ and Parenting CEO™, turn an insight into an actual system that a woman can use to run her life.

CEO Circle is where women practise these ideas together, in community, instead of figuring everything out alone.

And Clarity Mentorship is where I work with a woman one-on-one, wherever she actually is in her life at that moment.

None of these pillars works as effectively in isolation. The AI Companion provides clarity in the moment; the courses turn that clarity into habits; the community helps those habits stick because she isn’t doing it alone; and mentorship is there for moments that require a real person rather than a prompt.

That’s what ‘From Chaos to Clarity’ actually means to us. It isn’t just a tagline; it represents the entire ecosystem.

Vaishali Bahri Kalra

Home CEO™ is your flagship programme, and it reframes running a household as a leadership role. What does the programme actually help a woman build, and why does the ‘CEO’ framing matter to you?

Home CEO™ starts with a simple belief: every woman is already the CEO of her home; she’s just never been given the systems to lead it like one.

Most of us were handed a to-do list and told to ‘manage’ our households. Nobody taught us to lead them.

The programme is built around a framework I call C-E-O: Create Systems, Empower Your Family, and Optimise Your Life.

It starts with something I ask every woman to do first: a Mental Load Brain Dump, because you can’t build a system around chaos that you haven’t even named yet.

From there, we build simple routines that reduce decision fatigue, get the whole family sharing responsibility instead of one person carrying it silently, and protect time and energy for what actually matters, including her.

The ‘CEO’ framing is deliberate, and I use it literally rather than simply as a catchy metaphor.

Home, parenting and relationships are things a woman leads, not merely manages. The moment she starts leading with intention instead of reacting to whatever is loudest that day, everything becomes calmer, including her.

You also built Parenting CEO™, centred on what you call Connection-First Parenting. How is this different from more traditional parenting advice, and what convinced you that this approach works?

Parenting CEO™ comes directly out of my work as a child psychologist, and it’s built around something I call Connection-First Parenting.

Much of traditional parenting advice focuses on control: getting the behaviour right, enforcing the rule and fixing the outburst. Connection-First Parenting starts with a different question: What does this child actually need from me right now connection or correction?

In practice, that looks like repair over punishment.

When I make a mistake as a parent, and I do regularly, I don’t simply move on. I go back and repair it. I might say, ‘I got frustrated earlier and I raised my voice. That wasn’t about you; it was my stress. I love you, and I’m working on it.’

That simple act of repair can teach a child a great deal about emotional safety.

Parenting CEO™ also brings in the same dependability-with-boundaries thinking we teach inside Home CEO™. You can be warm and consistent without doing everything for your child or for yourself.

The goal isn’t to create a perfect parent. It’s to help raise a child who grows up believing that their voice matters, their feelings are valid, and they are capable.

And, not coincidentally, that is exactly the kind of foundation that helps build self-trust.
