NeoDove | This Week’s Startup Story

As part of our relentless pursuit to identify and share with our community some of the unique and compelling startup stories from the ecosystem, this week we spoke to Team NeoDove to understand more about their journey, their vision and the way forward. Let’s read their unique story!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with the team:

Talk us a little bit about your startup and the problems you guys are solving, please.

NeoDove is a SaaS startup that primarily focuses on serving the SME sector, a sector that is quite fragmented with a wide spectrum of requirements. There are still some segments in the SME sector that are underserved and lack access to the right technologies to help them optimize their growth.

NeoDove was created with the aim of providing a solution that caters to this particular segment apart from the ones that are technologically savvy.

Our focus was to create the right blend of a CRM as well as an engagement tool without creating unnecessary complexities. Our solution includes a lead management system that serves the part of a CRM and other assorted features such as an autodialer, multichannel communication and integrations that enhance the overall outreach and engagement process.”

All this put together, it serves as a comprehensive solution to streamline a business’ telecalling function.

‘NeoDove’ is such a unique name; talk us through more about it, please. Our audience would also love to know what kind of problem you are solving?

‘Neo’ literally means new, and ‘dove’ symbolizes peace and message.

A high-level definition of NeoDove would then be “a new way of engaging or communicating.”

With NeoDove, our aim is to transform how businesses reach out and engage with their prospects and customers, by providing them with a smarter way of telecalling.

During this COVID-19 crisis, what are the measures you have undertaken to continue your business without disruption?

We started out during a pandemic, a period that has changed the concept of normality forever. With the COVID crisis, everything came to a sudden halt. Remote working became the norm and there was a great deal of confusion as to what to expect next.

We onboarded our first customer in the midst of a lockdown, and it is during this same period of uncertainty that our customer was able to connect with more than 100,000 customers using our platform.”

NeoDove was designed to enable telecalling teams to work from anywhere without having to face any hassles. And this is exactly what helped us as well as our customers to overcome the challenges brought by these uncertain times.

How do you manage to keep going despite the challenges? What drives the team?

Every business faces challenges, and we are fortunate to have a team that is talented, motivated, responsible and works as one to overcome every challenge that comes their way.

As a team, we’re close-knit, and we believe that this is particularly important to keep any team going.

Please share with us about your expansion plans for the next 3 years?

Three years from now, we’d like to be able to:

– Achieve an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of $10 million

– Increase our customer base to 50+ countries

– Onboard 100,000 users

– Empower at least 5% of women users from tier 3 and tier 4 cities. It is our goal to create a platform from where companies can hire trained female telecallers (trained by NeoDove).

In this way, we intend to enable the outsourcing of work from our very own Bharat to companies present across India and abroad and create job opportunities for the people of our country. And building innovative tech solutions for SMBs at the same time.

How are you ahead of the competition? Kindly elaborate.

One of the things that really sets us apart is our flexible approach to providing solutions to our customers. Our product’s customizability, comprehensiveness, and focus on the essentials of telecalling, are attributes that are highly valued by our users.

Furthermore, our telecalling CRM lets users integrate with 15+ platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, IndiaMART, Justdial, and so on, seamlessly. Our customers are not just limited to NeoDove’s features, we have tied up with various other service providers and our platform allows users to access these services directly instead of switching between multiple platforms.

Trust is often lacking among customers when it comes to using certain software solutions, the reasons could be multiple, for example:

> Incomplete product walkthrough

> Inconsistent assistance

> Unfulfilled promises

And others.

We never want our customers to have to go through all of this. For us, the customer experience is of paramount importance, and in keeping with this, we have focused heavily on our Customer Success Team.

Our CS Team members take a consultative approach to helping customers and to assisting them in finding and addressing any need they might have.

Our CS Team and the uniqueness and flexibility of our approach are what has set us apart from the rest.

In your opinion, what is more necessary: An idea or a good team for a successful startup?

A good idea is worth nothing if it isn’t executed well and to execute it well, you need a good team. A good idea executed by a good team is what is necessary.

What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?

No matter what career path one chooses, discipline is crucial. Don’t put off doing something for later, if you do that, you only move further away from your goal.
