Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Ranju:
We are aware of your contribution to the ecosystem, talk us through your background and your journey as an astrologer, please;
I am a very strong believer in destiny, our journey of life is already written. Any journey needs planning and action. The day I decide to do something, then there is no looking back except taking action.
To reach a level of having a good clientele of astrology, numerology, Vastu, counselling and teaching numerology, I had to cover a long journey. I first had to quit my teaching job which I was doing for 10 years at reputed schools in Delhi.”
Thereafter I took a break for a year to study ahead and take up this profession and plan to be able to sustain and have no retirement beyond that. Having said that, it’s a daunting task to launch yourself in a totally different profession.
I did many courses & certifications and decided to start my own practice which could bring excellence in the life of others. The main intent was to enable people to be able to face hardships in life with a positive mind.
Along with that, I decided to empower women as much as possible in my capacity. This is the platform where I could specifically enable women, especially homemakers, to learn and take it as a career for a better life.”
It’s been an absolute challenging journey but the most satisfying ever in life. I am a Pol Sc Hons graduate from Gargi College (Delhi University), Apparel Merchandiser from NIFT. Done NTT and DECE from IGNOU. Then finally doing certifications in numerology, astrology, Vastu.
What made you passionate about ‘Astrology’?
Somewhere I was always passionate about this science. Helping others heal is truly my passion.
My goal is to guide my clients to find happiness and live their life to the fullest. There are certain paths that are tough and even if we want to change, it doesn’t happen. That is the time they need a positive mind and a positive person.”
Whether you are dealing with anxiety/phobia, pain, limiting belief or weight issues, it can enhance your ability and give you the remedies you need to help you change what’s holding you back. Making your negative thoughts into positive ones.
What gets you out of bed in the morning i.e. what’s your source of motivation?
The inspiration to impact 1 life positively today. To do something new and productive that I have not done yesterday and to live and contribute to that day fully because I feel grateful every morning that I got another day to live.
How do you manage yourself and keep on going despite the challenges? What drives you?
I always try to make sure that I empower the right people for the right work. This way I do not feel overburdened with work that leads to stress. In my free time, I spend time with my family and try to maintain my work-life balance as much as possible. Meeting my close friends helps me clear my mind and focus on issues that need my attention.
Most of all my morning prayers and meditation plays a vital role in keeping up my energy for the day.
Please share with us, how do you motivate your clients?
My focus is to help individuals heal, energise and become aware of their inner strengths. I listen to their concerns and customise a treatment plan. Communication to me is a very important scenario to improve motivation. Keeping patience with the clients is very important as they are coming to me with a burdened mind and heart. Giving them a ray of hope and ways to reach their goals is my way.
How important is it to be aware of it? What services do you offer to help your clients?
Astrological guidance at the right time can play a significant role in the outcome of one’s venture.
I offer six different services:
Personal Guidance: This includes future prediction, career counselling, financial stability, higher education, family life, health, mental peace & other questions.
Gemstones: 100% genuine and quality gemstone recommendations based on the planetary position in one’s horoscope.
Match Making: Marriage is an important aspect of life and everyone is keen on finding the perfect life partner. It is proven that astrologically paired people adapt better to married life and are able to live the proverbial “happy ever after” life.
Vastu Consultation: Vastushastra site plan study of your residential or commercial property according to the scientific laws of Vastushastra.
Counselling: Disturbed mind can never think right and work right. Right counselling helps a person to make correct and timely decisions.
Teaching Numerology: I want to empower women especially to come up and learn this science and be powerful and independent.
What has worked well for you so far?
One thing I would say that helped me grow is the ability to listen to my clients.
The more I listen to my clients, the more efficiently and effectively I can solve their problems. I believe that I’m capable of doing that and it is the only reason for my growth.
In your opinion, what are the keys to success?
I will say it straight that there are many factors but if you really have to have the key elements then to me these are the ones.
Courage, resourcefulness, extreme ownership, curiosity, positive attitude, massive action, consistency, belief, listening power, and being polite.
What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?
1) You should be able to identify the key skills and personality traits required to succeed in any area.
2) Career decisions require a long view of what comes after and a good understanding of personal skills and ambitions.
3) I would say be a good human being as this profession is purely based on belief.
4) Be sensitive to the problems of people. Be a good listener and a soft-spoken person.
